Brent Gordon, a loving husband, devoted physician and loving friend, passed away on April 4, 2024 after a long battle with heart disease. Born October 14, 1953 in St. Louis, MO to the late Morris Lipsky and Joanne Gordon, Brent dedicated his life to caring for others.

A graduate of Cornell College and Southeast College of Osteopathic Medicine, Brent started his residency at St. Barbabas Hospital in the Bonnx, NY, then moved to Texas to complete his residency at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine Hospital, and had successful family medicine practices in Abilene, DeSoto and Fort Worth for many decades.

Brent is survived by his loving wife Jan; her children he loved as his own, Robert Hammonds and wife Kim; daughter Julie Hammonds Stephens and husband Erin; Grandchildren: Dylan, Sarah, Chandler, Nathan and Chaden; Great-Grandchildren Riley, Landry and Hazel; sisters-in-love Beth Yarbrough and Debbie Abbe; and Mother-in-love: MaDell Yarbrough.

Friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Brent's life to be held, Tuesday, April 16th, beginning at 3:30 PM at Benbrook United Methodist Church, 1122 Bryant Street, Benbrook, Texas. Family friend, Mr. David Hirabashi and Rev. Don Petty will be officiating.
