Johnny Kendall Hays, born September 19, 1946 in Dallas, Texas, passed away January 1, 2025 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Johnny grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Fort Worth and the Mid-Cities areas before retiring from Bell Helicopter after 35 years. He and Cindy moved to Rio Rancho, NM in 2008.

Johnny loved to be outdoors, taking pictures, fly-fishing in the mountain streams of New Mexico, and hunting. He also loved outdoor cooking. One of he and Cindy's favorite trips was a fishing trip to Alaska. He was a Master Mason with the Sunrise Daylight Lodge in Arlington.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years: Cindy; children: Bryan Hays & wife Kathy, John Carter & wife Olya, Shannon Klemm; grandson: Joshua, and beloved niece Kristie, along with a host of extended family and many friends.

Johnny was predeceased by his parents; his sister Kay; and his son Ken.

A Celebration of Johnny's life and Gathering of Friends will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 13th at My Funeral Home – Mid-Cities Chapel, 1856 Norwood Plaza, Hurst, TX 76058.
